Isabelle Talbot

Izzy is an enthusiastic young event rider whose partnership with her horses is at the heart of everything she does.

Her journey began at fifteen with Roy, a 12‑year‑old ex‑racehorse. Roy has been her rock through GCSEs, college, university, teaching her not only how to ride but how to navigate life with resilience, patience, and joy.

Together, Izzy and Roy have built an incredible bond and impressive record across multiple disciplines. Retrained from racing, Roy has flourished as an event horse, competing successfully up to BE 105 with the goal of going Novice. Alongside eventing, the pair enjoy hacking, showjumping, British Dressage, and Pony Club

Alongside Roy, Izzy also has Carrot. He is her talented 6‑year‑old warmblood, with a previous owner he has already jumped up to 1.15m BS and is now developing the strength and confidence to transfer that scope into eventing. Izzy is focussed on building their partnership through careful training and plans to start unaffiliated eventing and then moving up to affiliated next year.

Izzy’s commitment to horse welfare is reflected in every aspect of her care. Roy’s asthma led her to Burlybed two years ago, following advice from her local stockist. The combination of Burlybed Original Pellets topped with Burlybed Light transformed his comfort and health, eliminating coughing episodes and providing a clean, supportive bed that both horses love.

We are so excited to be working with Izzy, Roy and Carrot and we know that the year ahead will be full of full of growth, learning, and adventure. With her passion for showcasing the versatility of ex‑racehorses and her dedication to welfare‑led horse care and makes her a natural fit as one of our Burlybed Brand Ambassadors!
