Burlybed Pet & Poultry is made from 100% Miscanthus. We take the product in its natural cane form and process it right here on the farm, with a finer chop for smaller feet.

Our bespoke production process shreds and breaks up the outer casing of the cane to expose the soft and pithy inner core. It is this core that gives Pet & Poultry ultra-absorbency and the outer cane that gives exceptional durability. We process Pet & Poultry for a finer chop making a soft, clean and supportive bedding material. The raw material is double dust extracted to ensure it is as clean as possible before baling, stacking, wrapping and sending it on its way to our stockists.

Our compact bales are easy to store and the bags are recyclable as well as being manufactured with one third recycled materials.

We add nothing to our Burlybed Pet & Poultry except our time and expertise. Every bale is pure Miscanthus and processed on the farm to ensure the very best, totally natural product for your pets.

FAQ’s

HOW QUICKLY DOES IT ROT DOWN?

As a 100% natural product, it rots down quicker than shavings and straw and can be spread straight on the land.

IS IT COMPLETELY DUST FREE?

We take the time to double dust extract Burlybed in its processing. We would never claim to be 100% dust free. What we can say is that it is low dust.

WHERE CAN I BUY BURLYBED PET & POULTRY?

We have a large number of stockists around the UK. Have a look at our Stockist page to find your local supplier.

CAN THE BAGS BE RECYCLED?

Yes! We choose our packaging to be functional and durable to protect our products while they are our with our stockists and customers but we also consider the environmental impact. We use Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) which in simple terms is exactly the same as a supermarket bag for life. This plastic is 100% recyclable. Our packaging is also made from one third recycled material that would have otherwise been destined for landfill. Many local authorities accept LDPE as part of their  recycling schemes so we always advise our customers to check with their local authority.
