Back Out Eventing

It was with great excitement a big box arrived full of our new Burlybed branded gear for us and the horses. A bit like unwrapping at Christmas!  With lovely rugs for the horses and clothing for the team, and myself we'll be easy to spot now in the familiar navy/ green colour scheme

First event is imminent with Artistiek is planned and we are hopefully heading to Wellington and Cornbury. It’s great to see this beautiful event back in the calendar. He is looking a little sleeker now than he did during lockdown as his fast work has stepped up once more. Being blessed with good ground here at Rosamund Green Farm he has also done show jumping and cross country training, he is usually quite wild and cheeky at home so we have also been out to plenty of BS shows, where he is much better behaved, getting good practice for both of us jumping some bigger tracks. I have really been enjoying this and plan to keep this up in between his eventing and into the autumn where I hope to qualify him for some of the bigger shows. It's great to have a horse with his ability in two different disciplines.

I have also spent a great deal of time travelling all over the country (my car has done a lot of miles!) sourcing younger horses with potential not only eventers but jumpers too. We have such great facilities here, it's perfect for producing them and I truly love seeing them develop. Watch this space for updates!

In the meantime everyone, have a great rest of the summer and fingers crossed we can still keep safely competing.
